What problem areas are treated with PelleFirm®?
PelleFirm is a non-invasive device that’s FDA-cleared for tissue heating and temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite. It works by using two different actions at the same time -- radiofrequency energy and massage. PelleFirm is often used to treat arms, the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs, but it’s suitable for almost any area of the body.
How does PelleFirm tighten skin?
PelleFirm emits radiofrequency (RF) energy that penetrates deep into the skin, where it gently heats tissues. The heat makes proteins in the skin contract, which often produces a temporary, but noticeable, tightness.
Heat from RF energy also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. Although these two proteins are normally found in your skin, where they impart strength and elasticity, production goes down as you age, resulting in looser skin.
