About Esther Adedokun, PMHNP-BC

Esther Adedokun is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Esther earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Biology from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Gardner Web University. Following her passion in holistic patient-centered care, Esther then went on to complete her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner education at Vanderbilt University. Esther understands and is passionate about the interaction between mental and physical health, and therefore recognizes the importance of incorporating mental health care into each patient’s overall wellness plan. 

Esther’s areas of expertise include depression, generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorder (SUD).  Esther has worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities as well as the Mecklenburg County Detention Center. Esther is aware of the importance of care of the “total Patient” and is skilled at working alongside psychotherapists and primary care physicians so that patients can achieve their optimal emotional and physical wellbeing. Esther is licensed to treat patients in both North Carolina and South Carolina.  In her time away from patients, she enjoys spending time traveling and immersing herself in a great novel.
